Bull riding is a sport not for the timid. Bull riders mount their bulls in a bucking chute while gripping a braided rope. Once the rider is mounted and fastened in, he nods he is ready and the chute door is opened allowing the bull to exit the chute and furiously try to remove the rider from its back. The rider must attempt to stay on the bull for as long as eight seconds, while only touching the bull with one hand. His other hand must remain free for the duration of the ride and not touch the bull or he is disqualified.
Many a rider has been seriously injured during the bull riding event and there are usually Bull Fighters in the arena to distract the bull should the rider get thrown and the bull turns on them.
For Rodeo fans, bull riding is a fun sport to watch.
